and wats a good way to get ppl to know ur site exists?

no you cant cuztimise the 404 pages and a good way if afiliating with a popular site such as SSkys and submiting your page to search engines

submit your site to 70 searchengines for free, including the popular ones...:
www.dynamicdeezign.com << dutch site...
look for "URL aanmelding" at the left, than click the link "aanmelden", after that fill out the form by entering your URL (don't forget to start with http://), than in the second text field your email address, and the last thing you need to do is select all the searchengines that are in the list there, and click OK

If you did all that, a new window will popup where you'll see the submissions, if a red text appears next to the searchengines name it failed to sumit, if its green it succeeded....

(the more searchengines you selected, the longer it'll take)

hey mkolsenfan around how long will it take for site to apear in search engine results it it like normal from imediatly -8 weeks or soemthing liek that ?

it depends...it can take up 2 weeks, but it can also take up a few months..oh, and don't submit your site too many times, searchengines can report you as a spammer than, and block your site forever, so it'll never be listed in there results.
